... Nat King Cole...

Lyrics of Let there be L.O.V.E by Nat King Cole

Let there be you,
Let there be me.
Let there be oysters
Under the sea.

Let there be wind,
An occassional rain.
Chile con carne,
Sparkling champagne --

Let there be birds
To sing in the trees,
Someone to bless me
Whenever I sneeze.

Let there be cuckoos,
A lark and a dove,
But first of all, please --
Let there be love.

p/s: found the *let there be oysters under the sea* and *chile con carne* parts rather amusing ...... cute song.. love it!! =)

.......

Getting bored with writing so thought of making a blog entry for once! heehee lazy me!

Okay...a wee update from my London trip.. which was errr 3 weeks ago? anyway the weather was extremely good (sunny ~23degrees), it was apparently the last weekend with good weather of sth....company & food was fantastic... got my passport renewed.. and the BPS conference was enjoyable (for once a conference with much relevance to my area)..It was a nice short break from experiments and writing...Not to mention catching up with yvonne and fergie was so much fun! Anyway i didn't manage to take many photos of London... here are some of the random ones that I took.

AND... i had my first ever haircut in UK, having been here for 4 yrs!!! Well I went to this Japanese hairsalon called MOGA at brook street somewhere off Oxford Street.. It wasn't that pricey considering it being London. Their service was excellent.. was served immediately even though I did not have an appointment!..Was even served green tea and had a head & shoulder Shiatsu massage.... The stylist, Orie was nice, speaks quite fluent english ...would probably re-visit them if I'm ever in London again.. Anyway... yeah she did cut off quite a lot... so hair is shorter now and my curls are more or less gone.. *sob* But am liking this new style!

W.e.e. U.p.d.a.t.e

Okay.. blog on hiatus again..
MIA for months..
Thesis at stake..
Current status: finishing experiments (???) + writing up
Emo Status: Fluctuating (even more rapidly these days), irritable + annoyed
Mental Status: Brain power surviving on multiple caffeine doses per day

Things i do to de-stress --> SLEEP.. hehe how boring, well I do bake cakes to destress and play the piano as well but currently no time to bake and no piano to play ... so SLEEP =_=

Anyway will be going down to London end of the month to renew my passport and also to attend a conference
Looking forward to catching up with friends, the yummilicious food.. etc. Have not been in London since 3 years ago.. The last time I was there, it was when the London terror attack occured...

I miss my family and friends back home.. aww.. (see what i mean by my fluctuating emo?)

Okay, now shoo shoo ** back to studying enzyme kinetics + writing.. sob sob**

Oh But before that, wanna recommend Olivia's new mini-album if you're into Jrock genre. Hee Hee.. I don't particularly like all of her songs but I love what she had done for the Olivia inspi Reira (Trapnest) album. And this new album seems pretty good, love the cute name *trinka trinka* and I especially like the song "Rain".

Unless you are into Jrock, this album might not be palatable for you

Olivia trinka trinka

need some *genki* songs rite now.. ciao..

No Griping!

The word for today is --- 'GRIPE ' meaning to complaint or grumble about something..

"The cancer of a complaining spirit can undermine the spiritual and emotional health of an individual and can infect an entire group. This can result in discontent, frustration, and even rebellion" -- Our daily bread

"Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it's always your choice." -- Wayne Dyer

Philippians 2:14 says to "do everything without complaining or arguing" -- Bible

A rule for me to learn & practice -- No Griping!
